Hair Care Routine for Dry & Damaged Hair
Step-by-step routine to achieve a healthy and shiny hair
STEP 1: Stick to sulfate-free shampoos, since sulfates are heavy-duty detergents that can dry out hair. Also try to avoid parabens, GMO or shampoos which contain salt.
My favorite brand right now is an Italian hair care brand which products are all organic and free of chemicals which can damage your hair. Nevitaly´s products are amazing and really work. I’ve been using them for a couple of years now and I have to stay I love them
STEP 2: Make raw coconut oil your new Best Friend. Coconut oil prevents hair breakage, it moisturizes the hair making it shine and look healthy. And it is packed with nutrients.
I try to use it at least once a week. Apply it all over your hair, from the scalp to the ends. Massage to make sure it hydrates your scalp and let it sit for the night.
STEP 3: Don’t forget to use a conditioner every time you wash your hair from the middle of your hair, more or less, to the ends. I’ve been using this Schwarzkopf Professional Balsam for a year now, and I love how it makes my hair super soft and shiny
STEP 4: Before blow drying your hair or styling it use a heat protector to avoid extra dryness. The Revlon Uniq One has been my go-to product for several years now. I have to say I’m addicted to it.
STEP 5: A personal trick I normally use when straightening my hair. Is to apply a couple of olive oil or argan oil drops to my ends once I’m done styling it. This will moisturize your ends avoiding breakage
STEP 6: At least once a week deep condition your hair. As I said before I’m a huge fan of Nevitaly products. Their keratin and Hyaluronic Acid Hair Mask is amazing. Mix it with a few drops of oil and let it sit for a couple of hours before rinsing it. Trust me your hair will look amazing
STEP 7: Now that the summer is here, you should take extra care of your hair. A couple of years ago my hairdresser told me I should use a sun protector for the hair too. I didn’t know hair could damage from sun exposure but it looks like it can. So if you don’t want to end with frizzy, damaged hair you should totally buy a sun protector for your hair.
