The 90s T-shirt is back
Since the 90s are back, I thought I should make a reference to one of the most iconic garments of the 90s: The T-shirt.
Back in 1991, Karl Lagerfeld put out a Chanel fashion show where models wore the timeless tweed suit with a white t-shirt. Since then brands have reinvented the plain t-shirt adding slogans, colors, and patterns.
But the white top will always be the iconic tee. This garment has become an icon this past year, we’ve seen models like Kendall Jenner or Bella Hadid wearing meaningful tees. From the everybody should be feminist tee by Marc Jacobs or the weekdays’ collection by Alberta Ferretti.
White tops are the latest 90s come back, from the simple white tee to the powerful slogan t-shirts. They’re the perfect garment for an athleisure look. But the combinations are infinite. From a pair of jeans, high heels and a blazer for a night date to sneakers for a more casual look.
The truth is there are a million ways to wear this top and look good and fabulous. It adds that informal touch to your look that makes you really stylish.
So go ahead and give your white tee a second chance, play with it and find which is your favorite combo. But if you don’t have one yet now is the time to buy one.
When looking for a t-shirt I really like those ones with small slogans or just simple words. I like that French touch some of them have, I think that is what makes a white t-shirt go from boring to perfect.
So here is my ultimate t-shirt guide. So if you’re looking for the perfect tee here are some of my favorite ones.
Hope you liked it,
