5 ways to wear the Scarf Print Trend
Scarf print is the new Autumn trend that counts with the Queen’s approval. This trend is here to smash summers minimalist mood.
Richard Quinn, Toga, Versace or Salvatore Ferragamo are some of the designers that took the traditional scarf and created asymmetric dresses, draped tops, and skirts. High street brands such as Zara and Topshop have adopted the scarf print trend making this trend more affordable to everyone.
If you like scarf prints but are not sure how you can add this new trend to your wardrobe here are 5 ways you can incorporate the scarf print into your closet without overdoing it or looking weird.
Look 1: The Pleated Skirt
A scarf print skirt is the easiest way to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe. Since the skirt is already very dramatic, give it all the attention it seeks by keeping the rest simple. A knitted mustard top, a pair of velvet mules just to add some more color to the look ( perfect for those days of September when it is not too hot neither cold). Plus burgundy and mustard are two colors that work perfectly together and will give you an extra fall feeling. A pair of golden earrings and a simple bag.
The perfect outfit for the office that can also be worn to a night date or a dinner party.
Look 2: The Bomber Jacket
For those who like risking it a little bit more a scarf print bomber jacket is perfect to add to your wardrobe. If you are more of an athleisure kind of fashionista bombers are more definitely more suitable for your lifestyle than midi skirts or long dresses.
This look is all about accentuating the masterpiece. Keeping the rest simple and minimalistic. A pair of cowboy ankle boots, black denim culottes, a pair of colored sunglasses and my favorite a black and transparent bag.
This outfit is perfect for lazy days when you don’t know what to wear or dont feel like really dressing up but still want to look cool and fashionable.
Look 3: The Midi Dress
A more feminine and sophisticated way to wear this trend is by choosing a scarf print midi dress. This dress by Sandro is absolutely gorgeous and super easy and simple to accessorize.
Another major trend this season are boots that go up to the knee. You are going to see a lot of them this season. So why not wear them with this midi dress? The great thing about this boots is that they look great with short, midi and long dresses and skirts. A safe investment for the winter.
I like playing with colors, mixing them and finding new combinations to wear. One of my all-time favorite combos is green and red. These two colors work amazingly well together.
Gold accessories are also one of my favorite pieces to wear. They are simple but can make a huge difference in an outfit. And since the dress and bag already have a bold color a golden Necklaces, earrings, or bracelets seems like the perfect piece to incorporate into the outfit without overdoing it. Keeping it chic and sophisticated.
Look 4: The Classic Midi Skirt
There isn’t a more versatile piece than a midi skirt. So many different ways you can wear it. With high heels, sneakers, ballerinas or boots. And with each of them, it may seem like a totally different skirt.
I like the combination of a very feminine piece, a scarf midi skirt. With a more relaxed one an oversized grey sweater. Volumes are one of my favorite combinations especially during winter where all you want to wear is layers and layers of clothes to keep you warm.
With looks like this, you get the best of both worlds. The “girly” more feminine part and the tomboy more relaxed part. Just add a cute and minimalistic pair of sandals a crossover bag and a simple and original pair of earrings and you have the perfect outfit for a Sunday morning. Brunch with the girls or even for work.
Look 5: Scarf Pants
Last but not least we have a piece for those who prefer wearing trousers especially super comfy pants that emulate pajama style ones.
Wearing this kind of pants can be a little bit tricky because it is very easy to get confused with pajama pants and nobody likes been seen outdoors with their pajama pants. But don’t worry it all depends on how you combine it.
Since this pants already have a lot of volumes and are super lose the key is to combine it with a more slim top. Knitted tops are a great choice to go with this pants. Also, add a pair of high heel mules or sandals and a rockstar-inspired bag and you will go from a “pajama” style outfit to street style ready.
Here are 5 ways you can wear this Autumn scarf print trend. A style for each type of mood. As you can see it is pretty easy to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe and rock this season.
And you? How would you wear this trend?
