The sun shines brightly for the Philo-era Céline lovers. David Lee has just launched his SS19 campaign for Bottega Veneta and it is an Italian dream.
A new era for Bottega Veneta has arrived. Where the heritage of the Italian brand is revisited, oozing with luxury today.
Sexy, fresh and makeup-free women represent an empowered, confident woman. Where skin, becomes an absolute protagonist. E
Shot by Tyrone Lebon it captures Lees vision of the brand. A graphic narration that seems to be out of an Italian neo-realist movie. Where each and every picture represent a different character. Showing an universal and most importantly a timeless beauty. Where urban meets luxury.
There is no doubt of the influence Philo has left over Lee. Which comes with no surprise since they worked together at Céline for quite some time.
With this new campaign, Lee is patching the hole left after Philo’s departure from Céline. And at the same time, restoring the masculine silhouettes turn feminine that so many women swore by. And which made Philos Céline so famous. Who knows maybe now is the time for Bottega Veneta to become the new/old Celine, we have all been wishing for.
In any case, I have to stay I am really loving this Bottega Veneta new campaign and can’t wait to see more. But for now, this SS 19 campaign is bringing me back to that Italian dream.
