How to wear the Plaid Trend
Bring the 90s Teen TV show Trend Back
Probably one of the most worn patterns has been the plaid pattern. From little girls skirts to the classic plaid pants and blazers. In the 90s this pattern became a huge trend and an icon of those years. This year this trend has had a major comeback and I couldn’t love it anymore. I like how simple yet elegant the plaid pattern can be and how easy it is to combine it.
Maybe it is because I’ve been seen this trend all over Instagram for the past couple of months or because it reminds me of my childhood and my school uniform, or because it has that 90s after-school TV shows vibe. Which as you can imagine I watched every Saturday morning when I was a kid. Anyways I’m obsessed with the plaid pattern and I don’t think this feeling is going to go away soon.
I’ve left behind the bright yellows, reds, and greens that reminds me of my school skirt and instead opted for brighter yellows, pinks, blues, and greys. Which I personally think are more suitable for every day.
If like me, you love this trend but don’t really know how to wear because you think it is more of a teenager pattern. I have to tell it is not and you can totally rock this trend without looking like a teenager.
The key is to avoid mini skirts or dresses and of course, super bright colors and instead go for midi skirts, pants, and softer versions. I mean, if Scotish men wear plaid skirts why wouldn’t you do it?
Today’s look is all about plaid pattern and how to transition from summer to fall with this trend. Plaid blazers, pants, skirts or even dresses. Bring them all cause I will wear them all. I like simple yet elegant and chic outfits on my daily basis.
So, this week look is simple and perfect for a day at the office and also for an after work. Simple and easy. But above all, it will make you comfortable and super stylish.
I dont want summer to end yet. So Im still wearing my summer accessories. This sea shell necklace has been a huge trend this season and is the perfect accessory to transition from Summer to Autumn.
Browns are another of my biggest weakness this season. And trust me it should also be yours because Brown is the new Black. And, it is super easy to combine and looks great with every skin tone.
I normally tend to avoid super bright combos or mixing too many patterns on my daily day I prefer doing this for special occasions where I prefer exploiting my creative side and letting it rule my outfits.
